The last few weeks have been a non-stop ride on the Royal Wedding train. While I admittedly do not care much about the actual nuptials of William and Kate, I do care about who and what they and their guests were wearing on this eventful day. As any true fashionista will admit, we take joy in seeing and picking apart the clothes others wear. We are super critical of the style, fit and color of the outfit, and often times spend countless hours trying to replicate what we see.
Okay, back to the wedding. Kate looked absolutely gorgeous in her Alexander McQueen gown designed by Sarah Burton, creative director at Alexander McQueen. If you did not know, it is tradition for the bride to have her arms and shoulders covered when marrying in the church, and Sarah Burton did an excellent job with the lace sleeves. Not to be completely boring, Burton provided an elegant, yet sexy, plunging neckline, which added just the right amount of youth and spiciness you would expect for a 29 year-old bride.

Sister and Maid of Honor, Pippa Middleton, wore a simple white gown, also designed by Sarah Burton, with a deep neckline and buttons down the back.
As for the guests, most wore simple dresses and suits with minimal jewelry. The real spectacle came from the headpieces. I don't know about you, but I am on my way to purchase a headpiece or two to add to my collection of fabulousness!! The British certainly know how to make a hat!
British designers Jess Collett and Philip Treacy created most of the headpieces worn today.
